As part of our growth plans, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Commercial Manager to join our Commercial team.

The Role

The Commercial Manager position sits across Osprey, our aviation business and TPG Services our consulting business, who work in partnership with national government bodies, international institutions, and global prime contractors. The Commercial Manager is responsible for identifying and managing risk in bids through reviews of proposals, and for contracts via, contract negotiation and change management. This role will assist both businesses, and our consulting team of Capability Directors, Practice Leads and Account Leads.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensures that all Bids and Proposals are prepared in accordance with the Osprey and TPG Services’ bid processes.
  • Ensure that the appropriate policies, procedures, and stage gate (lifecycle) processes for successful Commercial practice are adhered to.
  • Manage the interface between Osprey/TPG Services and their customers and suppliers to resolve day to day commercial issues and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure effective commercial change management control for scope and price are in place and exercised as needed.

•    Take responsibility and lead in review and negotiation of Terms and Conditions.

We are looking for:

  • IACCM / World Commerce and Contracting accreditation preferred
  • Experience of negotiating contracts, red-lining draft contracts and drafting contract amendments
  • Experience of identifying contractual risk and proposing effective mitigation strategies via the proposal, and operational practices
  • Experience of managing proposals to customers in the UK, under UK law (English & Scottish)
  • Experience of managing proposals to customers for delivery of services across a range of EU and other nationalities
  • Experience of negotiating NDAs, IPR Licensing and Teaming Agreements
  • Extensive commercial management experience gained from industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience
  • Educated to degree level preferred

If you are appointed to this role you will need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level).  To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency.
