Celebrating International Women’s Day 2022

Valuing diversity
March 8th marks International Women’s Day (IWD) – an event celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the world.
At tpgroup, we value diversity, and the strengths it brings. And today we celebrate the women across our organisation and those that we work alongside.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements, commitment and inspiration – they are driving innovation and change to build future success.
“My greatest achievement in my current role was to become one of the joint leads for tpgroup Services Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion programme… it has become an impactful and significant programme for Consulting and is only going to grow!”
Emily, Consulting
“I believe more women should be encouraged into the engineering world by changing the culture and the image of engineering. Too many people still think of engineering as a ‘blue collar’ low tech job,”
Beatrix, TPG Maritime
#breakthebias
The theme for IWD 2022 is Break the bias.
We’re aware that the sectors in which we operate, such as Defence, are traditionally male dominated and welcome the increasing number of women within tpgroup that are in, or progressing to, senior and critical technical roles.
However we are mindful that we need to continue to attract, develop and retain talented women. Within our Consulting business, for example, there is specific focus on equality, diversity and Inclusion with a Gender Survey completed in Autumn 2021, and working groups set up to help drive further change.
We look forward to providing further information on the International Women in Engineering Day in June.

“Across industry, there needs focus on removing the gender pay gap, letting women mentor men especially in a male dominated industry, and make work-life balance a priority.”
Frederique, Sapienza
