Our responsibilities

How we integrate within our communities, while minimising our impact on the environment, is important to us and to all of our stakeholders. As a responsible business, we recognise that it should be a natural part of our thinking. One that our people, customers, partners and investors will be proud to be associated with.

Trusted policies and clear principles

Our success depends on us being trusted by all our stakeholders, both internally and externally. We seek to drive the right behaviours by forging a culture based on respect and responsible business practices – a culture that supports our people in making the right ethical decisions.

We have clear policies and principles that are embedded in the business through our Business Management System including health and safety, people management, environmental, EDI and supply chain management.

Empowering employees to take the right ethical decisions

Our Corporate Code of Conduct provides guidance and all employees are required to complete training annually on:

  • Anti-Harassment & Bullying
  • Anti-corruption
  • Cyber Security Awareness
  • GDPR Essentials
  • Unconscious Bias

We also have a whistleblowing policy which means employees can raise issues or seek guidance in person and in confidence.

Responsible suppliers

We build long-term relationships with our supply chain and believe in working with companies that share and embrace our values and ethical behaviour. To support this, we have both policies and a governance structure in place focused on ensuring a responsible supply chain.

Improving industry standards

We seek to help improve standards across our industry. We support initiatives by industry bodies, governments, NGOs and other parties that address key ethical issues affecting the sectors we operate in. We are proactive members of Aerospace and Defence trade associations.

Modern Slavery and human rights

We recognise our responsibility for protecting the human rights of our employees and other individuals that we work with across the world. As part of our commitment to the highest ethical practices, we continue to review and strengthen our approach to human rights issues, including modern slavery, across our operations and supply chain.

A proactive approach

TP Group embraces supplier diversity, taking a proactive approach to ensure that all relevant potential suppliers have a fair and equal opportunity to compete for business within our supply chain. We work with our clients to understand their priorities and social value commitments, and work to embed these priorities, and agreed equality and diversity processes, into our supplier relationships.

Supply chain governance

Management of cyber security risks

We have measures in place to mitigate and manage cyber security risks within our supply chain. We actively engage with our supply chain to identify and build resilience against cyber security risks. We are committed to adopting the required technical standards and best practice for appropriate cyber security controls, holding Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations, (the UK Government schemes, devised with the National Cyber Security Centre), to ensure a high standard of operation of the secure management of electronic data. We comply with the Ministry of Defence ‘Cyber Security Model’ (Moderate level). All TP Group’s IT Networks are registered on the UK MOD Defence Accreditation Registration Tool (DART).

Modern Slavery and human rights

We recognise our responsibility for protecting the human rights of our employees and other individuals that we work with across the world. As part of our commitment to the highest ethical practice, we continue to review and strengthen our approach to human rights issues, including modern slavery, across our operations and supply chain. Our statements can be viewed here.

There is duplicate content in this section - it should read: Our people are critical to our success, striving to build a strong, inclusive workplace. We believe in building a culture that is inclusive, where our differences are not only embraced but make us stronger. We are committed to driving equal opportunities, including reducing the disability employment gap.

Disability Confident Employer

We are a member of the UK Government’s Disability Confident Scheme which encourages employers to think differently about disabilities and to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

Equal opportunity

We are proud to provide an inclusive working environment, supporting employee retention and progression. We pay all our staff above the living wage and offer in-work progression to help our employees, including those from disadvantaged or minority groups, to move into roles that are more responsible, and higher paid work.

Committed to equality

We are fully committed to the elimination of unlawful and unfair discrimination. We will not discriminate because of disability, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, gender identity or sexual orientation. We also commit to not discriminate because of any other irrelevant factor and actively build a culture that values meritocracy, openness, fairness and transparency.

As part of our commitment to equal opportunities, we aim to ensure that all recruitment and employment processes and decisions are made based on fair and objective criteria. We conduct regular pay reviews and audits and have positive action schemes in place to address under-representation in certain pay grades.

Upskilling and development

All our employees, associates and supply chain members are responsible for the promotion and advancement of our Equality and Diversity policy. We are committed to the upskilling and development of our staff – providing continual personal development, graduate development programmes, access to apprenticeships and training (SAFe Training).

Our culture encourages continuous learning and we provide a range of opportunities at a senior level including:

  • Supporting female leaders through the externally provided ‘Women in Leadership’ courses.
  • Next level training
  • 24/7 online learning facility
  • Future talent programmes

We are a member of the 5% Club, which is a dynamic movement of employers committed to earning and learning as part of building and developing the workforce they need.
