I joined TP Group in October 2023 with no previous experience of the ‘civvy’ world and possessing a list of unknowns and worries I am sure every service leaver feels. Am I making the right decision to leave? Have I chosen the right industry? How will my experience and skills map across...to name but a few!

TP Group was the right fit for me and at the right time. It gave the life balance I was looking for post serving and, as a small consultancy, came with the benefit of having a great family feel, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. It also provides a real sense of purpose due to its working relationship with UK Defence.

I was surprised at the number of transferable skills I had from my time in the Army. Specifically: leadership, strategic management, P3M, planning and operations, communications, resilience, and business transformation. They may have different acronyms in the business world, but they map across brilliantly. The induction and training opportunities provided by TP Group certainly helped speed this process up.
