LE TacCIS – Assumptions and Dependency Management 

Background and requirement

Assumptions Management on the LE TacCIS Programme – a complex Communication Information System programme with links to Land Platforms, Ships, Dismounted Users, Command Stations and Aircraft.

The requirement was to provide support to the Army Programme Requirements Manager in the production and management of Dependency Agreements with the identified Projects and Programmes with links to LE TacCIS.

Approach

Establishing good working relationships with the Programme and BATCIS Project team as the main stakeholders for the task.

Engaging with the wider stakeholders from the dependant projects and programmes, making the effort to meet face to face at their convenience to develop positive relationships.

Developed a tool to enable better tracking and control of the status and progress of the Dependency Agreements, making reporting progress much easier and statistical.

Outcome

Better communication and buy-in with the stakeholder community. Dependent Project teams understand the purpose and importance of the Dependency Agreements, and are actively working with the LE TacCIS programme to establish the agreements.
